Authenticity and privacy

A check confirms the record. It reveals nothing about the owner.

Verification requires no account and returns only what the maison publishes: the model, the number on the caseback, the registration date, the country of activation and the standing of the guarantee.

No owner is recorded. The registry holds no name, no address and no contact details, at any point.

The record attests an object. It does not describe a person.

Common questions – Checking a watch

How can I tell if a watch is genuine?
If it carries a SerialProof certificate, tap the card or enter its Certificate ID. A registered piece resolves to a record the maison created.
What does a check confirm?
That the record exists, when it was registered, and the standing of its guarantee. It is not an appraisal or a valuation.
The watch is not in the registry. What does that mean?
Only that it was not registered. The registry records what maisons enter and cannot speak to anything else.

Common questions – Privacy

Does a check reveal who owns the watch?
No. The registry does not record owners.
What is shown on a public verification?
The model, the number on the caseback, the registration date, the country of activation and the standing of the guarantee.
Is anything tracked?
No. The certificate page loads nothing from any third party.
